Hello, hello!

This will be the first time I will take part in the Underwear Affair and the soon to be second cancer fundraising event I've ever participated in (minus Movember).

My grandparents both passed away from cancer (my dad's side) when I was really young, so I didn't fully realize what was happening at the time, but everytime I look back and talk to my dad, aunt and anyone else who was their for their final months, days and moments I see how much it has affected them.

This is one of the reasons I'm taking part in this event.

One of the other's is to support a friend (Nicole Christensen).

Luckily, I haven't had any friends or family members pass away due to down-there cancer, but I still want to help.

I'm also a reporter and in being one, I've had the opportunity to talk and listen to cancer survivors and their stories. Sometimes you forget how cancer doesn't just take people's lives, but affects all their friends and family members. Talking to survivors is a sure reminder.

But an event like this really brings out the positives and by the looks of the photos this should be a great time.
