Hey there!
Welcome to my Underwear Affair Personal Page! As you can see, I?ve joined Alberta Cancer Foundation?s Underwear AffairŽ - a 10K run / 5K walk to uncover cures for cancers below the waist. It?s not only fun, but it fights prostate, colon, testicular, and ovarian cancer, among others. I?ll be just one of thousands of people gathered on the streets of Edmonton this summer in the biggest Affair this town has ever seen!
I am running for Tony Mah, with his wife and family. You may have known Tony, he was an ACCP in Edmonton, a University of Calgary Law graduate, and my mentor. Tony unexpectedly and tragically passed away from colorectal cancer November 2011. Our team name is "Maharem" - which is very fitting if you knew Tony!
What can you do about it? You can donate to me! Don?t be shy - it?s about giving these devastating cancers some exposure and shedding some light on their cures. So please help me in my effort to raise money for care and research for cancers "down there!"
Additionally - I have promised that if I raise $500 I will attempt the 10 k run!
If I raise $1000 I will run through the streets of edmonton wearing only a sports bra and shorts,
BUT if I raise over $2000 I will run through the streets wearing only my underwear! I know... shameless! (take note.. this is not meant to deter you from donating! ... Although I could see it having that effect... )
