The Mahs are participating in the upcoming Underwear Affair to help raise funds for research into cancers below the waist. Our team Maharem has 10 members with some of us running in the 10K event and others walking in the 5K.

We named the team Maharem because of Tony's long-running joke about needing a harem. Strangely, one of the most honoured positions would have been Truck Washer! And he would have loved to see a group of people run around in underwear!

I was inspired to run in the Underwear Affair by my daughter, Lena. She and a friend - with the help of their Grade 4 class - organized a fundraiser for cancer research. The bake sale raised over $1400!!

I started training in February as I had not run 10K in 20 years! On a recent training run, I went 10.3K so I know I can do it on June 16th.
