Welcome to my Underwear Affair Personal Page! As you can see, I?ve joined Alberta Cancer Foundation?s Underwear Affair® - a 10K run / 5K walk to uncover cures for cancers below the waist. It?s not only fun, but it fights prostate, colon, testicular, and ovarian cancer, among others. I?ll be just one of thousands of people gathered on the streets of Edmonton this summer in the biggest Affair this town has ever seen!

Well most of you know Myles is my best friend. I cannot put in words how I felt the day when Brittney (his daughter) came into my office to tell me the devastating news. My best friend was diagonsed with colon cancer. This is the first time cancer has touched my life. It hurt so bad.

After all his treatments I heard an underwear affair advertisment on the radio. I knew I had to join and make a difference. I hurt so bad with Myles being diagnosed I don't want anyone to feel like I do. I joined and made a commitment to do this every year. For my best friend and for me. Something to make me feel good about.

He has now tested negative for cancer (thank my lucky stars) but I will not be satisifyed until we have a cure. And if that means fundraising every year for this than I am IN.

It hurts so bad when a loved one is diagnosed, though Myles is on the mend I will not give up until we have a cure. I don't want anyone to hurt like I did. This is our first year as team Myles and many more to come !! And I will be looking forward to this every year with my best friend Myles by my side.
