2012 Edmonton Underwear Affair

Nuttin' Butt Angels

Welcome to our Underwear Affair Team Page!

We’re psyched to be participating in the Underwear Affair as a group because we all want to raise a lot of money to fight cancers below the waist - prostate, colon, testicular, and ovarian, among others. Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Underwear Affair is a 10K Run / 5K Walk to uncover cures for cancers below the waist. We’ll be the team dressed in costume among thousands of other people gathered on the streets of Edmonton for one fabulous night this summer. It'll be the biggest Affair this town has ever seen!

It’s about giving these devastating cancers some exposure and shedding some light on their cures. So please help us in our efforts to raise money for care and research for cancers "down there"! What can you do about it? Don’t be shy - you can either donate to one of us, or you can join us! We’d love to have you as a team member - the more the merrier!

Thanks for your support!

Support Nuttin' Butt Angels!

First of all, thank-you so very much for coming up with the idea and putting togther the Nuttin' Butt Angels Team. Kristie you are such a loving daughter / mother and wife and a great inspiration to all young mom's. We could not do it alone and the friends that have joined the team and the donation support is incredible - Special Thank-you ! Yes, cancer below the belt has affected our lives and many around us !! Thinking back to when my Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer it was something that was not talked about and kept very secretive. I can remember him laying on the bed in severe pain both before the operation and after and wondering how a person who help protect our country in World War #2 could go through such torture. Thank God!!, Dad did recover and we did enjoy his company for many years. Life went back to normal and in my wildest dreams I never thought I would also go through the same type of pain, how could I, I was never sick!! Thanks to the great doctors, health care system amd new technoIogy I was diagnosed with colon cancer, went through the operation and chemothraphy treatments. The treatments were like going through a living hell and thanks to my loving wife, kids, relatives and friends I also made it through and that was 17 years ago being cancer free. As luck would have it Brett was stricken with colon cancer and watching him as a parent go through the pain and agony through surgery, radiation and chemothraphy just breaks your heart!! Brett is a great inspiration on both his recovery and dedication to his family. He never gave up and many times he said"" Mom / Dad, I cannot do this"" , but, I will for my kids. Thanks to Brett's positive attitude and tremdous support from the doctors, family and friends = Brett is also cancer free!! Just in closing I want to say to all - Please get the butt check early!! Yes, Cancer can be beaten, but, it's HELL to go through!! Thanks again - Love you all! Dad / Papa Bar
